That's why Weber Before and After School Program (Weber BASP) creates more than a place for children to wait before the first bell. Starting at 7am, we create a welcoming environment where Weber Elementary students can settle into the day, reconnect with friends, and begin each morning feeling confident, cared for, and ready to learn.
For more than 30 years, families in Iowa City have trusted Weber BASP to provide safe, licensed before-school care that supports both children and working parents.

The Before-School Care Program is available to students attending Weber Elementary School. Families must complete the enrollment process before their child begins attending.

The Before-School Care Program is available Monday through Friday from 7:00–7:55 a.m., providing a calm, welcoming start to the school day.

The program is held at Weber Elementary School, 3850 Rohret Road, Iowa City, IA 52246, making the transition from morning care to the classroom simple and seamless.

Children begin the morning in a relaxed, supportive environment where they can enjoy quiet activities, connect with friends, read, create, build, or simply ease into the day before classes begin. For the children with extra energy in the morning, we provide an opportunity to play in the gym or outside.

Children who participate in the school's breakfast program will transition to breakfast at 7:30am.

Children remain at Weber Elementary throughout the morning and are safely transitioned to their classrooms when the school day begins.

Families can begin the enrollment process by visiting our Enroll page or contacting Weber BASP directly. Early registration is encouraged, as enrollment may be limited based on program capacity.
